Wednesdays at Elston Village Hall
Come and Explore With Us!
Join us on Wednesdays at Elston Village Hall for hands-on science, investigations and plenty of curiosity!
Whether you’re joining us for a fun family activity, looking to explore science in more depth, or working towards GCSE/iGCSE qualifications, there’s a place for you at the Science Hub.
Family Science Club
A different science adventure each week! Enjoy hands-on activities, experiments and discoveries together as a family.
Every session is a new experience, so you can come along whenever it suits you. No previous science knowledge needed — just bring your curiosity!
Science Explorers
Wednesdays | 11:00–11:45am
For curious minds who want to investigate further!
Explore scientific questions in more depth, develop practical investigation skills and discover how scientists work. There are opportunities for longer projects, recording discoveries and following your own ideas.
Science Explorers can follow on from Family Science Club, but families can also choose it independently.
iGCSE Science Clinic
Wednesdays | 12:00–12:45pm
Bringing GCSE science to life through practical experience. Studying GCSE or iGCSE Science at home? Our Science Clinic gives students the opportunity to get hands-on with practical science in a supportive environment.
We’ll explore adapted versions of GCSE required practicals, helping students develop confidence with equipment, observations, measurements and transferable scientific skills they can apply in exams.
Coming soon: a menu of individual practical investigations that students can choose and book with Kirsty.

Coming Along Regularly?
Every family is different, so there’s no need to sign up for monthly membership to enjoy the Science Hub.
Come along for an individual session, purchase flexible session credits, or contact me to discuss monthly membership if you’d like to attend regularly.

Hack It at Home!
Can’t make it to Elston, or want to keep exploring between sessions? The curiosity doesn’t have to stop when you leave the Science Hub!
I’m developing Hack It at Home — a collection of science activities and resources for families who love exploring together.
From downloadable investigations and home experiments to DIY Science Explorer packages, the aim is to make hands-on science accessible at home, whether you attend our weekly sessions or live too far away to join us.
More coming soon! Explore the available resources here, and keep an eye on our Home Ed Facebook group for updates as I develop and test more.
