We want every student and parent to feel confident in what to expect from Hickling Hacks. Our Terms and Conditions outline how our tutoring services and online learning platform work — from booking and payments to safeguarding and behaviour expectations.
While we are committed to delivering high-quality, personalised tuition, it’s important to understand that improvement in exam grades cannot be guaranteed. Success depends on many factors, including student engagement, effort between sessions, and wider academic support. That said, our goal is always to help students make meaningful progress and build confidence in their science learning.
Key Principles:
Professional standards: All sessions are delivered by Kirsty Hickling, an experienced and DBS-checked teacher committed to safeguarding and educational best practice.
Clarity and communication: We use TutorBird to share session notes, resources, invoices, and feedback.
Respectful learning environment: Students are expected to engage respectfully and responsibly in all sessions.
Fair booking and cancellation terms: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be chargeable.
Group and paired options available: With clear expectations and privacy guidelines in place.
